OUR LESSON STRUCTURE
2-HOUR SESSIONS
Thrive sessions are 2-hours long. The first 50 minutes is dedicated to maths followed by 10 minutes of brain training. These are personalised brain games to improve cognitive development. The next 50 minutes is allocated to English and finally, parents are debriefed for 10 minutes at the end of each session. Parents have access to a Progress Report Booklet which is updated after every session.
SMALL GROUPS OF 3 STUDENTS
We offer lessons in small groups of 3 students. This ensures lessons are personalised for each student’s specific needs. Lesson work is composed of a combination of schoolwork, tailored workbooks and interactive exercises.
in-house resources
Our resources are made in-house by leading curriculum experts. This ensures that our workbooks seamlessly map the National Curriculum and that there are no gaps in our students’ learning. Our resources are engaging, minimal and catered specifically for primary-level students.
Our English curriculum covers a range of topics such as: grammar, spellings, punctuation, creative writing, poetry, literary analysis, 1 on 1 read time and more. Our maths curriculum includes topics such as number, place value, multiplications, additions, shapes, fractions and more!
our tutors
Our team of tutors are made up of postgraduates from leading UK universities and PGCE qualified teachers. All of our staff are Enhanced DBS and List 99 checked. Head Tutors at our centre hold First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications. Our tutors are enthusiastic, engaging and friendly. Above all, we are committed to creating a fun, inviting and accessible environment for students.
progress & feedback
We measure progress through termly assessments and weekly tests. Progress, behaviour and homework are recorded by tutors in digital weekly progress reports. Parent-tutor transparency is at the heart of Thrive Tuition. This is why parents are debriefed each lesson and have access to their child’s weekly and monthly progress reports.
COVID-19
Staff and student safety is important at Thrive Tuition. All staff members are required to wear face masks on-site and resources are regularly sanitised. We also offer online sessions for those more comfortable learning from home. Click below to find out more!
