DELIVERY

Our face-to-face sessions run every Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. On Wednesdays and Thursdays, we run two sessions: 4:00-6:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm. On Saturdays, we run three sessions: 10:00 am-12:00 pm, 1:00-3:00 pm and 3:00-5:00 pm. Please contact us to enquire regarding our online session availability.

Each session is 2 hours long. The first 50 minutes is allocated to maths. Students then have a 10-minute brain games task before 50 minutes of English. Finally, parents are debriefed on their child’s progress for the last 10 minutes of the session.

Our lessons are taught in a ratio of 1 tutor to 3 students. We believe that small groups are the most effective to tailor learning to each student.

Yes. The team of tutors at Thrive are made up of PGCE qualified teachers and graduates from leading UK universities. Our tutors must have an Enhanced DBS check and List 99 check. Our Head Tutors each hold the additional qualifications: Designated Safeguarding Lead (Level 3) and First Aid Training.

At Thrive Tuition, we prioritise parent-tutor transparency. This is why we provide a 10-minute debrief at the end of each session alongside a virtual weekly and monthly progress report for parents, accessed via our portal. Progress reports outline each child’s target areas, homework being set and current topic focuses. Progress is measured based on the development made following the initial assessment that students undergo prior to starting sessions.

Absolutely! Lessons are personalised to each student’s requirements so if they need additional guidance with schoolwork, feel free to email our tutors prior to the session time.

Our tutors use an online whiteboard and video-chat platform that allows all 3 students to effectively work with their tutor at the same time. A lesson link is sent to parents prior to the start of each session. Worksheets are accessed virtually for students and digital in-depth feedback is provided after each session to parents.

A 24-hour notice is required for any absences to avoid being charged. Simply inform one of our tutors.
